Celebrating with Sand: An Alternative to the Unity Candle

By Rhetta Akamatsu On your special day, when you are celebrating the combining of your lives together, you may want a special ritual to symbolize your new unity. Many couples opt for the Unity Candle, which has become very common in recent years. But here is another idea, which would be perfect for a garden, park, or beach wedding: Have a sand ceremony. The ceremony is very simple, and very beautiful. Get three nicely shaped clear glass bowls or vases. Buy either black and white sand or two other complementary colors, perhaps those you are using in your wedding. (Colored sand is readily available at craft stores, garden shops, and stores which sell aquariums.) Set the bowls or vases side by side. The groom then pours one color of sand into one of the vessels, while the bride pours the other color into another one. Then, together, they pour sand into the center bowl, creating a beautiful design. The side bowls or vases can then be filled with flowers or topped with colored stones and become part of the reception decoration, while the center container becomes a wonderful keepsake for the bride and groom. For ceremonies in which either the bride or groom or both have children, the children can also be given bowls of colored sand, which they may add to the center vessel along with that of the bride and groom. I hope this lovely, inexpensive ceremony can add an extra touch of sweetness to your day. Rhetta Akamatsu is a wedding planner, independent travel agent, and freelance writer in Marietta, GA. How to Make a Gift from an Old Box

By Nikoletta Bocz What good is an old box and some napkins? We can make a beautiful present for someone or we can hold little things in it. We need the following materials: box 3 different napkins varnish (decoupage lacquer: this is a glue as well in one block) brush, scissors We will make the side of the box. The napkins generally consists of 3 or 4 layers. We need only the upper coloured or patterned layer. The lower layers must have removed. (We won’t coat the bottom of the box, because it causes that the box will close hard.) You should anoint the box with the varnish and put the tailor-made napkin on it. With the brush you need to stroke the napkin. After, you should anoint the napkin as well with the varnish. In the picture you can see it: Picture1 We will use 2 kind of napkins for the top of the box. Firstly we will gluing the frame and after, the main picture. Picture2 Finally we will anoint the whole box with the varnish (in plenty). And we can see the result! I made this box for my husband, because his hobby is the fishing. Another idea: you can prepare a personal gift with the help of this technology. The number of the opportunities are no end of. Picture3 You can find pictures on my website. Uses For Aromatherapy Oil

By Gene Ilten Aromatherapy oil is extracted from wood, seeds, bark, roots, leaves, and flowers. They are natural herbs and plants that are known for their healing powers. Aromatherapy oil works to calm and soothe both the body and the mind. There are many ways and locations to use aromatherapy oils. The bath tub is a common place where women go to get a way from it all for a short period of time. Add several drops of aromatherapy oil and soak for at least 20 minutes. Rosemary and Lavender are great aromatherapy oils to help you relax. Probably the most common method of using aromatherapy oil is the art of massage. The oil allows the massagers hands to glide smoothly and easily all over the body. As the oil is absorbed into the skin, the person getting the massage is able to relax. This is a great way to relieve stress and feel rejuvenated. For some people, a massage with aromatherapy oil excites them and increases their sexual urges. A massage with aromatherapy oil is a great way for a couple to spend a romantic evening together. For someone who suffers from chronic pain, a compress filled with aromatherapy oils and hot water does wonders. A compress of aromatherapy oil and cold water can help relieve a headache. Inhaling aromatherapy oil can help relieve your sinuses as well as relieve stress. Add a few drops to a bowl of boiling water or to a vaporizer. There are many ways to create aromatherapy oils. Steam Distillation is used to extract the oil. This process is quick and effective for extracting large amounts of aromatherapy oil in a short amount of time. The use of steam can reduce the potency of some aromatherapy oils. Hydro Distillation involves using water to boil the plant in an effort of extracting the aromatherapy oil. This method is commonly used for hard herbs and plants including nuts, woods, and roots. You have to be careful with Hydro Distillation because if you allow the water to get too hot or boil the plants and herbs too long your aromatherapy oils will have a burnt smell that isnt effective. The newest and most effective way to extract aromatherapy oil is the process of Super Critical Carbon Dioxide Method. Carbon dioxide is used with high pressure to extract the aromatherapy oil. This is very effective and very fast. This method gets the most oils from the plants and herbs. It is also very inexpensive and fast. The use of aromatherapy oils for physical and metal reasons is not new. It has been used for centuries by many cultures. It is a good idea to get a book on aromatherapy oils or do some research on the internet to find out the best aromatherapy oil for your particular needs. Some help you relax or get rid of stress. Others can make your body feel better. Regardless of how you use it, you can find some relieve from the ailments and the elements with aromatherapy oil. Gravitational Marketing for Small Businesses – Twelfth Law: The Low Hanging Fruit in Your Business

By Jimmy Vee Did you know it’s cheaper and easier to satisfy the customers you have than it is to get new customers? Wowzers! Would you believe there are still people out there letting customers leave UNHAPPY. It seems outrageous, but is happens daily in your town and mine. With as much as it can cost to get a single lead, why in the world would you even consider allowing someone to leave unhappy? A lot of people do a lot of jaw-jabbering about good service. In fact, most businesses who have garbage service are the ones who talk about having good service the most. What a joke! You see, customer service is worthless to talk about in your advertising. Nobody is going to do business with you (or even call you) because you said you have good service. People expect good service. People have a right to be treated well. It’s not until they’re let down that it starts to matter. People don’t generally go in expecting to be treated like slime and even if they are concerned about it because they have been burned in the past do you actually think you saying you have great service is going to convince them? So there’s really no point advertising about it. But it is crucial that you don’t mess it up. You see, if you do a crummy job, people will definitely talk about it. If you do a great job, people might talk about it (more on that another day). Most importantly, doing a great job with your existing customers is a great way to ensure they return and buy again! In addition to giving good service, you should have an active system in place to consistently and relentlessly stay in touch with past customers. Newsletter, birthday cards, customer appreciate events. Use anything that allows you to stay in front of them and ask for their business or their referral again. So many small businesses and independent sales professionals are so focused ONLY on getting more leads. But maximizing your existing lead flow by increasing closing ratios, increasing satisfaction, and staying in touch with people is much more efficient. In the thirteenth Law of Gravitational Marketing for Small Businesses, we’re going to expose a powerful method for making your business impossible to compare to. It’s a great way to become the obvious choice and you can use it to shield your profits. Jim and Travis are the authors of The Ten Tall Tales Of Traditional Advertising That Cost You Tons and their newest release, The Small Business Owners Guide To The Galaxy: Jim & Traviss Super-Stellar, Out Of This World, Step-By-Step Guide To Generating Leads, Attracting Customers and Making Sales. Breast Augmentation: A Choice

By July Black Breast augmentation affirms the identity of the person undergoing such surgery. It affirms who they are to themselves, and in turn, to those around them. This is because, in general, there are probably few other zones of the body we consider to be more significant than a woman’s breasts. Regardless of one’s gender or sexual orientation, we all recognize the significance most societies place upon them. For better or for worse, they are part of how we define women, much like how we treat faces as part of how we define people. However, unlike a new hairstyle, make-up, or overall change in fashion, surgical breast augmentation takes on a deeper meaning. It’s surgery. Not something that is easily separated from the person. It becomes a part of the person. This is why it’s so important to the person who makes the decision that they do so with a certain degree of comfort, of understanding, of willingness to enter the process, and the support of those close to them. Implants, for the purpose of breast augmentation, have mainly been used for two reasons: reconstruction and cosmetic. Regardless of the reason, implants have changed since the ones produced in the 1970s. It has primarily been their design, due to our knowledge of their impact on the body. As such, we know much more about implants today than when they were used in the 1970s. Today’s implants may still be made of silicone gel, but have apparently have a much lower risk of rupture than the earlier ones. In fact, the two main types: silicon gel and saline solution, both employ a silicone shell. However, the issue of rupture – whether silicone or of the saline solution variety – is a possibility, thereby requiring that implants be checked. One of the main methods used to check them are with mammograms. The surgical technique used is also a consideration. However, a lot can depend upon the surgeon and the individual themselves. Variables include the following: the surgeon’s preference, and the amount of existing breast tissue where the implant is to be placed. The main techniques are: sub-glandular, sub-fascial, and sub-muscular. In addition, there are different types of incision that may be employed by the surgeon: Peri-Areolar, Infra-Mammary, and Axillary. Each technique has its advantages and disadvantages. For this reason, it’s recommended that the individual consult their surgeon in advance regarding the different techniques and how they may affect them. There is also another type known as polypropylene string breast implants. They are less common as they don’t involve the use of a prosthetic device. Their use tends to be more documented in the adult video or sex trade industry. Also, regular checkups and procedures are required for such implants. Finally, depending on the country you live in, there may be regulations regarding the types of implants that may be used. For example, some countries may ban the use of silicone gel-filled implants, or only allow their use on a strict case-by-case basis. Regardless, an initial consultation with a surgeon is always important, as with any elective surgery. A Bridal Shower the Inexpensive Way

By Gail Leino People love parties, and the person of honor at a party loves it even more, but parties such as Bridal Showers can get costly. There are ways to cut back on the costs while still throwing a great party for the Bride and her friends. Food is a staple at any party. Some people choose to have their parties catered to save them time but caterers are pricey. You could choose to have a party with only light refreshments, but this might leave guests feeling hungry and a little gypped. A good solution is to throw a potluck style Bridal Shower. Invite guests to bring something theyve made at home to the party. You provide the napkins, silverware and plates. To cut back further on the costs you can make up punch and tea to serve guests instead of buying sodas and alcoholic drinks. The bride will almost certainly be expecting gifts and this can be handled in a couple of different ways. You can set up a wishing well made out of a large box covered in wrapping paper. Tell the guests before the party that you are using the wishing well and they only need to bring smaller inexpensive type household items. There are lots of smaller appliances and basic items that the couple will need when starting out on their own. Dont underestimate the value of plain kitchen towels and coffee mugs. After all a little adds up to a lot. As guests arrive to the bridal shower they can put the items into the wishing well. The gifts can be wrapped or unwrapped, with or without tags. It depends on how you want to operate the wishing well and the bride will appreciate getting lots of smaller gifts. You can also take up a collection among the guests to get the bride and groom one larger gift. That way its a little easier on everyones budgets. As for decorations you can usually find themed party packages that will help you cut back on cost and effort of tracking down individual decorative items and even supplies for games. Mrs. Party… Gail Leino is the internet’s leading authority on selecting the best possible party supplies, using proper etiquette and manners while also teaching organizational skills and fun facts. Secrets Revealed for Saving Thousands on Secured Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mary_Wise]Mary Wise The Interest Rate The interest rate (A.k.a. APR) is the main variable you need to watch closely. When comparing loans, you obviously want the lowest interest rate available. However, the interest rate has to be considered as a single variable and compared with the rest of them before selecting a loan. You may get a lower interest rate, but yet, a more expensive loan due to fees and costs. Variable interest rates are typically lower than fixed interest rates but may turn to be higher over time if market conditions worsen. You can always refinance your loan, get better rates and change between fixed or variable rates but be aware of penalty fees. Since a refinance loan is taken in order to repay the remaining of the current mortgage, if there are any prepaying penalty fees you may end up loosing money by refinancing. Costs and Fees Secured Loans usually come with many costs and fees, such as closing costs, collateral related costs, administrative fees, etc. This category can also include life insurance costs, fire insurance costs, civil responsibility insurance costs, etc. You need to ask the lender for a complete and detailed list of all costs and fees charged. Beware also of hidden fees. It is a common practice among lenders not to disclose in advertisements certain costs and fees that will then appear on your bill. Its a smart thing to do, to ask the lender to fax you a copy of the contract prior to signing it in order to analyze it thoroughly. Penalty Fees There are mainly two types of penalty fees: The ones associated with prepayments and the ones associated with a missed or late payment. The lender has designed the loan in order to max out the amount of money he can obtain from the capital he has lent. In order for him to make the most out of his money, the lender needs you to pay the amount agreed within the agreed time periods. Any changes can make the lender loose money and in order to compensate for the loss he will charge additional fees. Late payment and missed payment fees are always present in any kind of loan. If you dont pay on time or if you fail to pay one month, youll be required to pay an extra amount the next time your installment is due. Bear in mind that more than one missed payment can allow the lender to claim the whole debt and take legal action against you. Prepaying penalty fees are not always present within the loan terms. If present, youll be charged an extra amount of money when you pay any sum above what you are supposed to pay every month. When you pay the overall debt, this fee is also known as pre-cancellation fee. Loan length and Loan Amount These two variables are directly related to the loans overall cost. A longer loan length will imply more interests and thus higher costs while a shorter loan length, will imply less interests and a lower overall cost. The loan amount works in a similar way, the higher the loan amount, the more money youll have to pay due to interests. Thats why you need to request just the loan amount you need and repay it as soon as possible.
